If You're New Here

A letter from the middle of things — not the aftermath, not the resolution. A welcome.

Dear reader,

Welcome to Still June.

If you’re new here, the easiest way to explain this place is that it’s a record.

Not of what happened.

Of what it felt like.

Most of these essays were written long after the moment itself had passed. Not because I was trying to tell the story correctly, but because writing has always been how I return to things I couldn’t fully understand while I was living them.

This archive is full of grief, motherhood, family, faith, uncertainty, love, disappointment, hope, and the strange work of becoming.

But underneath all of it is the same question:

What do we do with a life that doesn’t unfold the way we imagined?

I don’t write from the finish line.

I write from the middle.

From the places where certainty has already fallen apart and something truer is still trying to emerge.

If any of that sounds familiar, you’re probably in the right place.

If You’re Wondering Where to Start

There isn’t really a right place to begin.

But here are a few paths through the archive.

If you’re exhausted in a way that’s hard to explain

If you’re carrying a grief that doesn’t have a clear name

If you’re trying to make sense of the world we’re living in

If you’re interested in the quieter, more personal pieces

Still June isn’t a place for certainty.

It’s a place for questions.

A place for complicated truths.

A place for the things we carry quietly.

Most of all, it’s a place for people who have discovered that life is far stranger, harder, more beautiful, and more uncertain than they were promised.

I’m glad you found your way here.

— June
